Soy, including soy protein isolate and various names containing the word ‘soy’ is another ingredient to be vigilant about. It is a cheap preservative like MSG. It increases estrogen. Many women have estrogen dominance, and soy will cause more problems. Also, men might not want increased estrogen, so check the label on your protein powder guys. It has been linked to hormonal problems such as infertility and miscarriages in women, and lowered libido in men. It has been linked to irritability, anxiety, insomnia, problems losing weight, and digestive problems. Feeding babies soy based formulas has been reported to be a great way to make your baby sick with various behavioral and health issues. Only eat organic soy beans or fermented soy, which is what Asians eat. Soy sauce usually contains MSG. To avoid feeling like a zombie, avoid anything containing the word soy, unless you really know your nutrition.

Gluten, found in wheat, has been linked to Celiac disease, which is known to cause the following symptoms: Abdominal cramping, bloating, diarrhea, constipation and weight loss. Those with a gluten intolerance could experience headaches, tingling in the extremities, brain fog, weight gain and symptoms similar to irritable bowel syndrome. Wheat can also cause inflammation and diabetes. Anyone with an autoimmune disease, endocrine disease or endometriosis might want to avoid wheat.

There are other options such as rice flour and quinoa. In nutritional food stores you can find bread and pasta that do not contain wheat or white flour. In place of sandwiches with bread, you can deconstruct your food, and put the ingredients onto several romaine or other lettuce leaves. Your plate will look like you are eating a ton of food, but the calories will be low. In addition, you will be adding a vegetable serving or two to your diet.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)

This is basically food that has been chemically altered via hormones, antibiotics and who knows what else, aka WTF food. GMOs have been linked to hormonal issues, food allergies, birth defects, cancer, nutritional deficiencies, increased toxicity from altered plants, antibiotic resistance, and endocrine disruption. This is another controversial one, with people being at war with companies producing this pseudo-food. There are billions stake, not to mention our health. If a food is not natural, do you really think you should eat it?

People who consume processed food on a regular basis are likely ingesting may of the above nutrients simultaneously. Think about that. Over time, what will that do to your body? We keep hearing about so many people being obese, having diabetes, thyroid problems and diseases the medical community does not fully understand such as Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia….Diet is crucial if diagnosed with any illness. Do your due diligence, and read labels, and put forth the effort to eat a clean diet. If the food made you sick, eating Earthy just might heal you. Life happens. You will likely consume food with the above ingredients. If you care about your health, regardless of weight, strive to avoid the above ingredients 95% of the time.

More Food Company Trickery to Make you Eat GMOs.

A local Publix, a grocery store in Florida, has recently been doing renovations. Annoying, but whatever. Looking for the organic section, I noticed it was across from the candy. Really? Getting torques by this, I asked to see the manager. He reported that organic food will be mixed in with all food throughout the store. The manager, who was morbidly obese, by the way, did not seem concerned by this. It could be good to get people to be exposed to more organic choices. My concern is that people will be tricked further into buying toxic, high preservative, not really organic and genetically modified food. I know my ingredients, and I have been tricked. I thought I was eating good rice. The only ingredient was whole grain rice. What I did not know was that it was a food company owned by Monsanto. Ooopsy. For those of you saying what is GMO and who is Monsanto, just know this, avoid it. GMOs are slowly killing us. Monsanto can be trusted to mess our food up in a lab. Food is meant to come from nature, not a lab. While I can’t fix stupid, as in Publix making the decision to mix the food up. I can educate you all about what is happening. Food companies have always used trickery to get us to buy their food. Notice the sugariest cereals being at a munchkins level to get kids to harass their parent into buying it… The point is that we have to be more educated than ever to stay healthy or regain our health through our diet. Know your ingredients and food companies. It is no longer as simple as shopping on the outside aisles. Hell, they put baked goods there and at the check out. Only go grocery shopping on a full stomach and when you have time to google ingredients and companies. There is currently no app, that I know of, that can do it all in terms of identifying the health level of an item. Also remember that organic and natural are terms that get misused to manipulate people. Lead and arsenic are natural. I cannot with 100% certainty say it is accurate, but it is worth taking note of. In the mean time, if you can’t pronounce it, don’t buy it. Be aware even in organic sections and stores. Do your due diligence, because it is their job as a business to trick people into buying their pseudo-food.

Many people are walking around like zombies due to poor diet choices, lack of exercise and stress from various aspects of their lives. Are you wondering if you qualify as a zombie? Here, zombies are not like the walking dead depicted in the movies and other media. It involves people being depressed, numb,in a fog, lethargic and going through the motions. You might be clinically depressed or just dissatisfied with a certain part of your life. Imagine some of those anti-depressant commercials. Those folks are afflicted with the Zombie Disease (ZD). We have various clinical diagnoses for it, but at the end of the day, these folks are zombified. If you are not feeling alive and have a sense of purpose that you feel passionate about, you might be zombified. It is not natural to always be happy and feel passionate about work, family and relationships. However; people who are in a zombie state rarely feel those positive emotions. You probably already know if you are living the zombie life.

People with the ZD don’t eat brains like the movies. They overeat or under eat. They might use food as a drug to self medicate for feeling zombified. They might already be in a fog, like a trance, but not the kind of trance one seeks when undergoing hypnosis to feel good. It is a daze, a disconnection from oneself and others. These people might also use other substances and activities to self medicate to feel alive and de-zombify themselves, but those behaviors only work temporarily. Instead of creating a checklist and basically criterion for being labeled with the Zombie Disease, there are a few questions to ask yourself to determine if you are afflicted and to what extent.

Are you satisfied with your life? That is broad, so we will break it down. Are you satisfied with your social life, love life, family life, occupational life, health, weight, relationships in general, finances? There might be other areas of your life to consider. The areas where you aren’t satisfied, next ask yourself how it affects you? For instance, if stressed about finances, do you feel the stress physically, such as fatigue, insomnia, irritability, eat too much or eat unhealthy food and so on, and if so, do these symptoms interfere with other areas of our life? Does the stress inhibit you from making decisions or doing things you want to do? Does it lead to arguments with others and strain relationships? Some people feel crippled or unable to do anything while in a zombie like state.

You might have answered yes to many or all of the questions above. Don’t freak out. Yes you are likely afflicted by the Zombie Disease. Here is the good news, you can change this. Focus on one of the areas of your life that is causing you either the least stress, because you will conquer it quickly and gain confidence to move onto other areas. Or focus on the most distressing area. Once you learn to cope better and feel good about that part of your life, you will start to apply those skills in other areas. Basically, it will all fall into place.

You might also need professional help with these issues, albeit a psychologist, business coach, spiritual counselor etc. There are many options. Choose what you think will work for you.
